George and Pauline Whipps have been manufacturing high quality and cost effective water control gates since 1977 when they first founded Whipps, Inc. The company produces a variety of fabricated equipment like the sluice/slide gates, hand pull stop gates, shear gates and stop logs to name a few. All of which are made at its Athol, MA. facility, just 70 miles west of Boston. Over the years, Whipps has grown and expanded. With significant investments to its manufacturing facility, Whipps has not had to outsource any of its manufacturing and is still able to design, build and support every custom project from its U.S. Facility.
